I give the left and right equal amounts of flack over displaying tremendous amounts of emotion over support for candidates, causes, and issues they can’t explain or defend to someone who doesn’t share their exact positions. This sad situation appears to be another casualty of an era of discord that has robbed our nation of a wise citizenry, and the statesmen who are put in place by that wisdom.
You may recall how the propaganda media and entrenched political bureaucrats have spent the past eight years lamenting how much division it is that Donald Trump had brought to America, but you’d be wanting for accuracy if you didn’t correct this narrative by reminding those in your circle that division brought Trump. Trump has held membership in both major parties, as well as at least one minor party, has donated to politicians good and bad, and endorsed and voted for Mitt Romney four years before he himself won the presidency. I would be willing to place a substantial wager that a large portion of those reading this article upon publication voted for George W. Bush, John McCain, and Romney before the Trump revolution occurred, which negates another talking point about how the Republican base has been radicalized – we tried to elect your awful, moderate bureaucrats. They are the ones who failed to lead from the front and get anything meaningful done; in fact, they (especially Bush and McCain) pushed us much further back as a country by allowing this modern leviathan to take root in its present form.
Preaching to the choir has its purposes, but sometimes street ministry becomes necessary. Yesterday on social media, I issued a rather curt morning greeting.
Good morning to everyone, except for those who think they would have somehow navigated the shutting down of the entire world in 2020 perfectly if only they had been leader of the free world, who would have known how to stop the first obvious pre-meditated rigged election, and who can’t get behind the man being harpooned by the justice system because you can’t see beyond your ideological purity.
Trump’s polling numbers show a substantial lead over an uninspiring pack, with Governor Ron DeSantis, who once held the full support of Trump’s base, hanging on to second place. Trump leads most national polling by 35-40 points, and that number only goes up in the most critical 2024 states. Obvious landmines aside, it is time to outline four key reasons all freedom-loving patriots must align behind the 45th, and perhaps 47th (or even 48th) President in these history-shaping times.
I. Correcting the Record
In Olympic competition, if it were found that the champion of a particular event was doping, that contestant would be stripped of his or her crown, and it would be passed on to the second-place contestant, albeit in unceremonious fashion. This is the sense of fairness at play. According to Rasmussen Reports, five out of eight American likely voters believe cheating impacted the outcome of the 2020 election, with another six percent undecided. Americans gave 74 million votes to Trump, more than 11 million votes than the incumbent president received in 2016, only to have said incumbent be the first to gain votes from his first election and lose since Grover Cleveland did the trick in 1888. With evidence trickling out even three years later, in addition to the open fraud in Arizona and other states in the 2022 midterms, the game is up. The people want their power back.
80 percent of Republican likely voters believe the election of 2020 was tainted; those just happen to be the voters that oversee selecting the Republican candidate for president, in addition to the down-ticket candidates who fill critical offices. Trump is the only candidate for election integrity enthusiasts and for those who understand that without election fairness, we have no future for any issue designed to restrain government tyranny and enhance the liberties of the people.
II. Real Justice
Trump is not being targeted by the corrupt Department of Justice for nothing. Clearly, the political bureaucracy is afraid they can’t prevent him from winning in 2024, and fear a repeat of one of our most picturesque moments:
