I have always enjoyed creating sports analogies to describe events not related to sport. For instance, while many are concerned over physical safety, I like to say I employ a “96 mile per hour fastball down the middle approach” to life, particularly with regard to my stance on election-related or other political matters. That means I’m operating in plain sight, challenging the media or other opponents openly to hit what I’m throwing. To date, they still cannot turn people against my methodology or findings.
The Trump victory was not a narrow win, as seen in 2016 when he won the electoral college by 78,000 votes in margin spread over three key states. The 74 million votes represent a minimum of 326 electoral college votes, perhaps as many as 390, and a clear popular vote win, the first for the GOP since 2004.
Why Joe Biden? If you’re going to use the media to explain away a historic re-election performance as a loss for Trump, why not run someone people actually like or respect against him? Not that there are many Democrats who fit that mold, but perhaps someone who is still mentally capable of speaking for more than five minutes without assistance, who hasn’t been run off the national stage multiple times in previous runs for our nation’s highest office?
Stay with me on this. If the Democrat and media approach to rigging the 2020 election against Trump were to be cast as a sports analogy, what play would it represent?
