Biden to the Border
In a move that lacks sincerity, Joe Biden visited El Paso this past weekend. The city, the 23rd largest in the U.S., has been slammed with illegal immigration as cartels jockey for control of America’s border region. In a move resembling former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s excoriation of Barack Obama in 2012, Texas Governor Greg Abbott greeted Biden with a sternly worded letter that contained many factual points and citations, including his requirement to uphold Title 42 in accordance with the law, need to resume the border wall, and declare the cartels as terrorist organizations. Abbott called Biden’s visit to the border “$20 billion too little and two years too late.”
THE SIZZLE: Governor Abbott was recently chastised by Tucker Carlson in Prime Time for not doing enough in his own capacity as governor to secure Texas’s border, which is a Herculean task, given that the state shares 1,254 miles of land border with its third-world neighbor to the south.
