The Sizzle: Do You Really Know What is Going On South of the Border?

I am pleased to still have my threat analysis skills I garnered during my work in the Army’s Military Intelligence Corps.  Steve Bannon got me out of my comfort zone, election reform, and put me on the spot with several tricky questions when he had me on to discuss the Chinese spy balloon threat from February, which seems like years ago.  Even the mainstream media, weeks later, concurs with my assessment made while the iron was still hot.

Talk without action is simply talk.  Likewise, dreaming up imaginary threats without backing them up with data is simply conjecture.  While I want citizens diving headfirst into election reforms, I also consider it a wise use of my platform to share valid threats to the homeland with my audience.  Recently, I met with a former warfighter and current threat analyst to discuss threats affecting our southern border and beyond.  I expect to meet with him in the future to develop and relay workable solutions to combat some of these issues, and to highlight the true nature of what is happening in our battle with the cartels and transnational smuggling organizations as opposed to what the lying mainstream media feeds the public.

The following graphics are the work of Colonel (U.S. Army, Retired) Jack Pryor, and highlight the true nature of the crime flow from South and Central America to Mexico, and eventually into the United States.  I was given permission to share the colonel’s work.  My intent is for the reader to have an accurate understanding of what is occurring at the border and to be able to relay your knowledge as this issue continues to be proliferated ahead of the 2024 election.

Setting the Table

Cartel-related criminal activities in the Western Hemisphere often get rolling in South America, frequently in Montevideo, Uruguay, or Buenos Aires, Argentina, and either head north, or ship drugs, cash, or arms by sea across the Atlantic.  If the end destination is to the north, smuggling routes push through the center of the continent and use key cities, such as Cali, Columbia, or Caracas, Venezuela, as seaports, and others, notably Medellin, Columbia, as staging areas for passage across the Darien Gap into Panama.

From those locations, gang crime and associated violence hops across Central America and through Mexico, trafficking human beings, drugs, money, and other evils to major cities in Mexico and to the border staging areas adjacent to the United States.

These 7 Mexican Cities along the U.S.-Mexico are noted by Col. Pryor as “Major Mexican Trafficking and Staging Cities”:

*Reynosa, Tamaulipas (across from McAllen, Texas)

*Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas (across from Laredo, Texas)

*Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua (across from El Paso, Texas)

*Agua Prieta, Sonora (across from Douglas, Arizona)
*Nogales, Sonora (across from Nogales, Arizona)

*Mexicali, Baja California (across from Calexico, California)

*Tijuana, Baja California (across from San Diego, California)

Col. Pryor also identifies 152 American “Cities Reporting Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations,” with one identified in nearly every state in the continental U.S., including 25 in Texas, with some of shockingly small size, like Eagle Pass, Van Horn, and Fort Stockton.  Cartels permeate every area of the nation.

Advancement

Cartel activity pushes its way over the border, which, as a whole, is woefully unprotected thanks to the unwillingness of Democrats to protect the nation, and Republicans to aggressively push for it when in power in the U.S. Congress, or at the executive level of a state.  Governors Greg Abbott (Texas) and Doug Ducey (former governor of Arizona) have been particularly derelict in their duty to use extraordinary measures to exhaust all resources in support of fortifying our southern border.

As if the map of the United States were the board from a game of Risk, cartels push to cities of increasing distance from the border and strengthen their support networks there, fanning out to touch nearly every major population center and minor ones in between with new waves of crime and deadly narcotics, such as those opioid-ravaged areas in New England and throughout the Midwest President Trump has campaigned in heavily.

Decision Criteria

As is the case with any operational concept, success in execution relies heavily upon the quality of the planning put into the mission.  In keeping with the graphic above and its flow arrow on the right side, here is a realistic smuggling scenario:

1)         At Point of Origin, Buenos Aires, Argentina, heavily armed smugglers hauling opioids and millions in cash begin route heading north into the interior of South America. 

2)         At Decision Point in Paraguay, responding to news about the treacherous Darien Gap, a decision is made to head north to Venezuela for transport by sea.

3)         At Foreign Staging Area Caracas, Venezuela, ship transport takes smugglers to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, from which point the smugglers travel across the interior of Mexico.

4)         Smugglers arrive at Border Point of Entry Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and await proper time for illegal entry into the United States.  Additionally, the smuggling team has picked up four children at a cost of $10,000.00 each for movement across the Rio Grande River into Laredo, Texas.

5)         At 0400 hours, amid a personnel rotation and poor illumination, the team chooses a low point on the Rio Grande River and dashes across and takes shelter at the U.S. Primary Staging Area in Laredo.

6)         Seeking to evade detection, the smuggling team boards an 18-wheeler and travels back highways away from I-35 as a viable Route of Egress From Border.

7)         After a drive of nearly four hours, smuggling team arrives in Secondary Staging Area San Antonio, Texas, at a cartel safehouse for retooling and refitting from the long journey.  The team finds rest, food, shelter, clothing, and, if necessary, ammunition and supplies.

8)         The team is assigned a mission from the Secondary Staging Area and is told to travel along the I-10 Smuggling Route/Corridor heading east to meet up with a friendly cell in Houston.

9)         After changing out teammates to break the scent of the trail, the team eventually reaches its final Destination, Memphis, Tennessee.

Conclusion

Cartel activity is highly coordinated and relies upon substantial planning, logistical support, and tactical skills in evasion, defense, communication, and, when needed, direct combat.  Cartels in South and Central America regularly overpower local law enforcement and as such, are often left to their own ends.

Unchecked cartel activity and open borders lead to chaos the American public is not ready to deal with if the day comes in which the cartel financiers choose to take the reins off their savages and let them behave the same way in San Antonio, Tucson, and Los Angeles as they do in Tijuana, Mexico City, and Nogales.

President Trump is right to make this battle a focal point of his campaign, because it matters to every American.  Too many lives have been lost at the hands of a treasonous federal government that does nothing to stop the flow of crimes, drugs, and human beings into our nation.  The human trafficking crisis many churches lament is fueled by the failure of our government to do its first duty, which is to protect the people.  Unfortunately, many of America’s “woke” churches stop at lamentation but fail to point out the true cause of the deliberate prolonging of this nation-destroying crisis.
