VP MADNESS ALREADY SWIRLING
The Washington Examiner ran an interesting piece on the Vice Presidential Sweepstakes associated with the ongoing Trump campaign. This appears to be at least a year ahead of schedule, but then again, most people think Trump will run away with the GOP nomination, meaning the conversation for running mate begins now. The piece mentions Kari Lake, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Elise Stefanik, Nikki Haley, and Tim Scott, and suggests that Trump prefers a female running mate, and one who won’t “overpower” him on the trail.
THE SIZZLE: In my 2023 kickoff article, I predicted that Kari Lake would emerge as Trump’s VP pick for 2024. I agree that a female running mate would complement Trump tremendously and would defuse any of the stupid narratives branding him or the Republican Party in general as misogynistic.
