The Tarrant Sheriff Will Lose His Job for Not Investigating Election Corruption
Topic: Perspective
Yesterday, Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn announced he would not investigate the blazing dumpster fire of allegations and reports that Tarrant County Judge candidate Deborah Peoples, a Democrat, has masterminded and operated a coordinated election fraud ring in the Fort Worth metro area.
Sheriff Waybourn gave perhaps the weakest excuse in history for not at least investigating the revelations. He said since he had already endorsed candidates on the ballot, he could not do anything about it. His entire department and staff are incapable of looking into potentially felonious activities because he has engaged in the political debate for this cycle.
That settles it folks. If you are a candidate running in an election cycle featuring endorsements by a prominent law enforcement official, make sure you commit your crimes in that person’s jurisdiction if you need to get said crimes out of your system. Trying to scratch that itch for an armed robbery? Make sure you wait and see which Sheriffs or Police Chiefs have weighed in on the races before you act.
Sheriff Waybourn knows elections in Tarrant County are problematic. I have heard it out of his own mouth. He didn’t really have a reason to worry about this issue in 2016.
He won that race by 61.5%, but it was against a libertarian. Donald Trump carried the county that year by 8.6%, down a bit from normal GOP margins, but still comfortable enough even with fewer votes than Mitt Romney had four years prior. The straight ticket vote went Republican by a dozen points.
Then came the third world 2020 quasi-election. Tarrant County is a key centerpiece for a Blue Texas, meaning Blue Texas is not very believable without all the major urban counties under Democrat rule. President Trump not only reversed nearly two decades of GOP stagnation and decline in the county but set a Republican record for new votes gained in one election cycle, only to lose the county for his party for the first time since 1964.
Sheriff Waybourn got past the Democrat by 5.3%. That is only a trend of 56.2% to the left. The Sheriff also has the misfortune of being up for re-election in 2024, when Texas will be a serious prize for fraudsters and for extending the annoying national narrative that Texas is trending into play. He may not realize that one of the key goals of leftists the world over is to neuter law enforcement in major metros and allow crime to run rampant to further their goals of exercising more and more control over the daily lives of citizens. His winning margin in 2020 is nearly seven points left of the straight ticket Republican vote from 2016 (straight ticket voting is no longer available in Texas). If the trend in Tarrant County is another seven points left in 2024, as trends often work, Sheriff Waybourn will have a lot more time for trade shows and speaking engagements, for he will no longer be an active lawman in the former Wild West.
The Sheriff’s excuse to not at least investigate these claims for validity represents, quite frankly, dereliction of duty. The flipping of Tarrant County is not exactly the state’s best kept secret. It is not logical to believe Republicans will lose a Republican stronghold when Republicans are putting up record performances in a Republican re-election year.
RINOs have nearly all elected Republicans by the balls, even the ones who are charged with ensuring the law is not only followed, but that the citizens have confidence they live in a lawful society governed by transparency and orderliness.
When you reach your retirement, Bill, please come see me. I will be happy to explain Tarrant County’s political leanings to you. January 2025 isn’t too far off.
Courage is in short supply my friends; very short supply. 😕
Ouch! You'd think he would have been on the case since 11/4/20. His balls really must be held hostage by someone, to be returned only when all races in Tarrent go blue. It's the only logical explaination.
