This visit to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on December 17, 2022, will remain one of my favorites as long as I live. As is often the case when I am forced out of my comfort zone of election integrity, I have to dig deep into personal reflection to produce the message.
The American Revolution wasn’t won in one day, and it didn’t even take one day to get us to the precipice of doing something new. I felt my Dad’s wisdom coming over me, and looking back at in on video, I am moved by his words all over again.
He wrote those words to me when I was deployed in Afghanistan, and he was dying of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I was only 25 years old, seemingly ages ago, even though I’m only 38 today. Time has proven him right, and time will prove us right if we continue to charge ahead in pursuit of those things we hold most dear.
