DeSantis is pretty good on the issues as FL governor, but the fact that he is funded by the R wing of the uniparty means there would be no swamp draining during his tenure if he won the presidency. It would be business as usual and the continued torture of the middle class.

How strange that even one of the sponsors of the 2018 law preventing officeholders from running without resigning is now saying (a) it doesn't apply to DeSantis and (b) they should pass a new law to "clarify" this: https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2022/11/30/desantis-resign-run-governor-law-legislature-president/

Four solid reasons. Always good to be able to provide a thoughtful response to a question rather than an “I feel” statement.

Thank you Capt. K. #3 on your list is my #1. I live in FL, and feel blessed to have had DeSantis as Governor (we dodged the Gillum bullet).

But the GOPe has vetting capabilities far beyond ours. If they're lining-up behind DeSantis, it means that either he's always been aligned with them and/or assurances have been made that he will be if elected.

My biggest fear right now is recognizing that the GOPe is UniParty, and shares fealty with the election fraud infrastucture. (Likely this explains why in 2022 the "red wave" was allowed to occur in DeSantis' Florida, but no where else.) And so they will steal the primary from President Trump (along with other MAGA candidates).

I had such high hopes for Governor Desantis and publicly stated, he is the one man who could stop the "Great Reset". Now, I find myself starting to think, he is just part of the "establishment" and all the more reason for Americans to support President Trump. If reasonable, middle of the road Americans thought Trump was an embarrassment on the world stage, they should just look at Biden's Ireland visit. Nobody believes he beat Trump! Even leftwingers can't stand him.

Spot on! Thank you for this insight. DeSantis would loose in a 2024 primary (election fraud not withstanding) and the fallout would hurt his chances in 2028. Endorsing Trump now would bring his poll numbers up in the MAGA community.

I agree that at least some of these reasons have validity. A couple I don't know enough about to comment on.

A couple reasons to support DeSantis:

1) Trump is almost as old as Biden was 4 years ago. Granted he's in better shape cognitively than Biden was 4 years ago, but we need to realize that people are quite likely to be going into noticeable mental decline after age 75, and it's VERY common at or after age 80.

2) Trump still thinks the clot shots are a good thing. DeSantis understands how damaging they are. He has a surgeon general that is honestly looking at the fallout. If DeSantis runs, there will at least be some debate on the topic, but that debate will not be heard by democrats unless DeSantis wins the nomination.

On a DeSantis win will allow for the shots to be banned, for the cycle of pharma poisoning to end, and for scientists to start looking at how to fix the existing damage to the extent possible.

You all need to understand, the clot shots are recommended for school age kids by the CDC, and only 3 people have been compensated for clot shot injuries in all of the US. One of the amounts of compensation is not disclosed, but the other two have been compensated for about $5000 between them. No attorney fees reimbursed. Those are negative cash flow claims, folks.

Do you really want to keep seeing obituaries of young and middle aged healthy people that died suddenly - forever? And oh so many friends and relatives disabled and impoverished, not to mention in chronic pain?
