I know, I know. One really big thing must come to pass before anything beyond this point can even be applicable – Donald Trump must return to the White House. If this were 2008, or even 2016, his election would be as certain as the morning sunrise. Every key Electoral College state continues to show a major Republican Party registration trend, including Arizona, where all 15 counties have a GOP trend, North Carolina, where 95 of 100 counties show the same, and of course, Pennsylvania, which has a 16-year Republican trend so strong that additional countermeasures, like Automatic Voter Registration, have been put into place to stem the tide.
As if they were playing a methodical game of chess, our political enemies have taken one piece after another off the board, from Colorado to Virginia to New Mexico to Nevada, all states George W. Bush won in 2004, and removed them from the list of options a campaign accounts for while making a path and campaign strategy for 270 electoral votes. While they were busy sealing off competitive states, they poured concrete over the hand they already had, so that states that should be going to Trump in 2024, like New Jersey or Minnesota, are all but certain to produce Democrat electors. That leaves precious little room to maneuver on the 2024 map, with only four pathways appearing feasible to me at the present moment.
Joe Biden will have 191 electoral votes by virtue of having a pulse, and most likely, when factoring in leaners, 221. Those 191 votes make up the most impenetrable portion of the vaunted blue wall, which has only crumbled once since 1992 when Donald Trump ran an end-around in the Industrial and Upper Midwest in 2016, thereby making it impossible to run a surprise attack in 2020. Here are the guaranteed 191 electoral votes from the blue wall:
California 49
New York 28
Illinois 19
New Jersey 14
Washington 12
Massachusetts 11
Colorado 10
Maryland 10
Oregon 8
Connecticut 7
Rhode Island 4
Hawaii 4
Delaware 3
Vermont 3
Washington, D.C. 3
Maine - 1st CD 1
I factor 176 permanently Trumpian electoral votes, which includes Florida, Ohio, and Iowa, and a likely 235 when factoring in leaners (Texas, North Carolina, and Alaska). What this means is that Trump is going to need to secure 35 out of a remaining 82 electoral votes that don’t fall into the locked down or leaner categories to get back in there, and they are assigned to some of the most corrupt states in America. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were no such thing as a blue wall?
I’ve already debunked the likelihood that such a coalition should organically exist based on voting trends prior to 1992, but these states vote the way they vote because they have certain systems in place. For starters, every state in Biden’s blue wall has Automatic Voter Registration, and six rely on all-mail elections to get the job done. In states where there is widespread mail-in voting, there is always ballot harvesting – legal or not.
Given the unlikelihood that the legislatures of key electoral states will rein in the loopholes that allow for election manipulation on an industrial scale, a prospective Trump 47 Department of Justice will need to do the following to have a chance to eclipse the blue wall and put most of America’s 191 locked-up electoral votes back in play, like they were when Ronald Reagan won every one of them in 1984.
