In Alabama, we only have the one voting day. Mail in only for well documented health reasons. We must have ID.
Voting early in our case is wise, lol. Between 5pm and 7pm in a big election like this there will be lines, parking issues, chaos. Many folks are turned away without voting due to the polls closing, or getting tired of the line.
Our voting is well organized with paper ballots. I love Alabama at voting time!
Thank you, Seth. The whole early voting thing eats away at me, knowing that if evil wasn't running rampant right now, nobody would even consider voting before election day. November 5th will see my wife and I in line at the polls, casting our vote in person.
I'm with you fully, but every state and every situation is different. Here is my response, from here in what you call "The doomed Bay Area in Calif."
I am well known for being outspoken regarding elections. Many people ask me how they should go about the voting process, voting early, or in person?
My general response; Go directly to the election office room 121 with your ballot, preferably the day before election. Take your mail-in ballot with you, unopened. Go to the clerk, make sure you are on record as not having yet voted. If they say you have, you show them the unopened ballot and demand a new vote. (This does happen here, I saw it a number of times in 2022. That's a longer subject, though). Open and fill out your ballot, and hand it to the clerk. It should go directly to the sorter from there.
This bypasses the corrupt chain of command of the USPS, as well as the drop box collectors. It also lowers the risk of getting caught up in a 'water leak' on game day. It also lowers the chance of your vote being caught up in the 'algorithm'.
(I have evidence that our corrupt county threw out game day ballots in 2022 and were willing to do so sacrificing the few Dem votes knowing most would be Rep.)
I know you say to loudly cry fowl if your vote can't be cast on election day, but I've spoken to the sheriff, and the police, and they want nothing to do with election day issues. They will not respond. This is doomed Calif, where we have NO GUARANTEED path to our sacred vote being honestly cast.
My opinion is to vote the day before election day. At least here, anyway.
Great info Tief. I would add that in Napa County, you can surrender your mail-in ballot and vote a new in person (live) ballot. You put that into a ballot bag yourself, that goes into a box which is stored and not counted until election day. Never wait until what Wendy says in the next post about voting provisional.
Added twist in California - there are MANY cases of Republicans waiting until Election Day to vote, only to be told that they've already voted (!!!) but they can leave their ballot in the pile of provisional ballots. California has a first-in clause where the first ballot someone casts (whether it be cast by the true voter or by a fraudster) is the one that is counted.
Great points that you have made, Seth. Although I totally agree with you, there are instances that keep people who travel from voting if only Election Day is available. In Texas, we can’t open early voting ballots until after 7:00 pm, when polls are closed. That shouldn’t give anyone access to early-voting ballots. Am I wrong? Thank you for giving us your points of interest. My biggest concern is hearing ballots being mailed out just randomly to anyone without requesting them!! That needs to stop!!
After listening to a number of perspectives, I have decided to vote on the first day of voting here in Texas. I have no fear that I cannot vote on the day nor does it have anything to do with convenience. May each of us make the right choice for ourselves and may we all vote whatever day we choose.
I too would like to take a stand and return to the sanity of same day voting. However, if I and others get hauled off and not be allowed to vote, we'll be in the same position as 2020 - litigating after the fact while Kamala Cackler further destroys what's left of our nation.
I have always voted in WA state. I used to go to the polls on Election Day with my dad & sisters. I have such fond memories of the same fire hall w/ the same ladies running the poll. Only one sister & myself are left to vote & have been unhappy to vote by mail but it’s our sacred duty nonetheless. This summer my husband & I have moved to TN & I’ve been excited to vote in person again on Election Day. So much encouragement to vote early but reading this reaffirms my plan to vote on Election Day. Thank you, Seth.

I would appreciate your opinion on this.

Just more proof that the democrats leave no stone unturned when it comes to enabling election fraud.

All other issues aside, I can find no arguments for either your work, or even many of your perspectives. This was much needed by many.

I will be voting in person on November 5!
I too am on Arizona and am
Voting on November 5.
That is horrible.
I really dislike the word "right" being applied to voting; rights pre-exist the state. Voting is a privilege.
