I had higher hopes for last night’s special event than the announcement of a Presidential run from President Trump, although I accounted for that as the most likely course of action in yesterday’s article. It’s not that I don’t wish to see him back in the White House, where he belongs. That is an objective I have dedicated the last two years of my life to, after all.
It is increasingly obvious that the Republican Party is not only hapless, but incapable and unwilling to make the tough calls that will lead to a freer future. They are silent on the border invasion, unwilling to support populist nominees, and most importantly, neutered when it comes to taking even the slightest action on election fraud. I would love nothing more than to see a third party turn the GOP into the political equivalent of a Sears store, a decayed relic of something that once mattered. But the only person who has the charisma to make a legitimate new party that would immediately relegate the Republican Party to third largest in the country opted not to do that in January 2021, and again last night.
When many courses of action are possible, sometimes it is just easier to respond when someone else makes the call. Donald Trump made the call last night – he is running for President. I do not understand why he would be allowed to win the Presidency in 2024, not anymore than when he was refused with 74 million votes in 2020, and not anymore than a Red Wave that was turned into a purple drizzle was, with the most important tactical and symbolic candidates “defeated.” Will the locked down electoral college states allow harvested Republican ballots to propel Trump to victory, or just give themselves extra time to finish counting in favor of their candidates only?
It is clear that if President Trump is to win in 2024, we have no choice but to continue our work of implementing legitimate reforms, of which President Trump named five on my list last night. Last night was clearly geared for “normies” who wanted to see a contrast. President Trump has not forgotten about 2020, and he knows the truth of 2022.
We are not Trump. We are thankfully not the GOP. We are the people, as in We The People. We stand guard over our institutions. We must fight the fight, because the leader of the movement himself went back in the ring. Soldiers go to war to protect one another. We stay in the fight to protect each other, too.
Not what you wanted to read? You are and have always been free to quit. If not for the success of the America First agenda and movement, there would be no widespread election fraud. It would have washed out easily, with no worry at all from the Beltway Elite who can survive a four-year fluke.
The die is cast. Trump is running. You are in, or you are out. There is a lot of work to do, and 22 months to do it.
We are building our own apparatus, and that begins now.
As much as I would have loved to see something bold and out of nowhere in the announcement last night, I am thrilled to continue to support Trump and the movement toward free and fair elections. We shall carry on and prevail.
Outstanding Seth! We are on the Trump Train!
