In 1988, George H.W. Bush defeated Michael Dukakis to become the 41st American President. His victory is unique in modern perspective, because it was the third consecutive term won by the Republican Party; since 1948, that is the only occasion in which a party won three consecutive terms in the White House.
Our political pendulum generally limits parties to eight years, but sometimes four, in the White House. This is one reason I didn’t expect a Hillary Clinton win in 2016, particularly of such a magnitude as suggested by the media. Four consecutive terms, as learned by Bush 41 in 1992, is all but impossible to pull off; therefore, had Clinton been “elected” in 2016, political science would make a second Clinton term a near impossibility. With the goal of having been crowned “first woman President” in the rear-view mirror and facing imminent defeat, I suspect she would have been retired for “health reasons” to save her from the ultimate embarrassment.
The populist uprising that fueled Trump’s run in 2016 would need to be quelled, and I suspect an establishment Republican like Marco Rubio would have been tapped for victory in 2020; after all, he is a young, fresh face from swing-state Florida who could be pushed into the White House with little fuss from the MSM.
Eight years of Rubio would quell claims of election fraud (“Republicans aren’t allowed to win!”) and would eventually yield to the political pendulum with a hardcore leftist pushed to the top in 2028. Eight years of said leftist would get the political equation in America all the way up to 2036, when only God knows what would be done to fend off whatever that decade’s version of a populist revolution would look like.
That pipe dream never happened, because Donald Trump pulled a flanking maneuver and snuck up on Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, while Hillary Clinton’s campaign pulled out all the stops in the 2004 George W. Bush map of Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, and Arizona. As we all know, there was no sneaking up on the “Rust Belt” in 2020, nor any other swing state in the blast radius of Trump’s 74 million votes. Trump was going to be stopped at all costs, because the political machine had absolutely nothing to lose in going for broke (they were going to lose it all anyway), and everything to gain.
Had Trump turned into Arnold Schwarzenegger and been no real threat to the globalist concepts threatening the destruction of America, he would have been permitted to have his second term, and then would have given way to a very destructive Democrat in 2024. Trump’s victory in 2016 sped up the timeline for conquering America by at least two decades. The people would have remained passive and asleep at the wheel thanks to the two-party fraud system perpetrated for many decades, but 2016’s Trump win scuttled that plan.
Now it is up to the people to take advantage of the ill-advised, foreign-influenced, sped-up plan to foist a senile political retread on a country on its way to recovery. The global elite went too fast, and everyone has noticed this plan that will surely lead to their defeat.
