A girl I was dating in 2020 challenged me to name ONE example of anti-white oppression (real, violent, coercive racist policies) anywhere in the world. I pointed to Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), with the mass rape and assault and dispossession of the most productive (white) farmers in the country. The ZANU-PF confiscated farmland and gave it to allies of the dictator, Robert Mugabe. These cronies mostly turned around and scrapped the equipment, resold the supplies, and let the land lie fallow.
In 20 years, Zimbabwe went from the breadbasket of Africa to a hyper-inflated nightmare, all through pursuing 'equity' policies.
I precited that South Africa would probably follow suit
Ironically, Mr. Mugabe mostly spared Caucasian Zimbabweans after taking over because he judged them a resource to steal from over a period of time. He liquidated millions of his black countrymen in the 1960s, including practically all of the tribes that backed the other Communist side in the war. Popular fronts often collapse via massacre... a note to keep in mind for soft leftists hoping for a Communist utopia in North America, Cozying up to Angela Davis or Ava DuVernay is like snuggling with a hungry cobra.
While working at Oracle in the SF Bay Area, I ran into two bright and beautiful young women who were fluent Afrikaans speakers... and 100% ethnic Indian. The Coloured community... which is what Mohandas Gandhi was called whilst living there... does include people taught in Afrikaans, not just English. Almost all the minority South Africans who left have either moved to the UK or to Australia. The USA is a very long way from South Africa and our culture is not nearly so Brittanic as the Caucasian community was in SA and still is in the UK and Australia. I doubt many would choose to come here vis a vi either Australia or the UK.
An appropriate interpretation of the two-sided coin Seth. I have a friend up in MPLS who has been telling me about their travails with the Somali influx and related issues in the Twin Cities. The left has been imposing itself on the unappreciative majority for many years now, building the light rail public transit system for example. The people who were displaced from the construction were business and homeowners who could afford to own cars which they used to go wherever they wanted. The predominantly low-income users of the train got a free ride on the taxpayers’ backs. My friend said the boondoggle was widely referred to as the “Somali Trolley” and confided that he bought 14 Krugerrands to offset the personal loss from higher taxes at around $250 each. It sounds like more good will be coming our way from South Africa besides their excellent bullion coins. Thanks again for more encouraging news and analysis. I hope you will be heading up the Election Integrity Team soon and look forward to Trump’s announcement that you’re captain of the ship.
More than interesting!
